About Sursagar Dairy

Sursagar Dairy is a well-established cooperative dairy organization located in Surendranagar, Gujarat. It was founded in 1975 under the ambitious Operation Flood, which revolutionized India’s dairy sector and made the country one of the largest milk producers in the world.

The dairy operates under the highly successful Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation and follows the proven Amul cooperative model, contributing significantly to the strength and reach of the Amul brand across India and beyond.

Sursagar Dairy plays a crucial role in bridging rural milk producers with organized markets, ensuring that farmers receive fair value while consumers receive safe, high-quality dairy products.

Our Operations

Sursagar Dairy manages milk collection from over 750 village-level dairy co-operative societies across Surendranagar district.

The union operates four major chilling centers located in Chotila, Halvad, Patdi, and Wadhwan.

Milk is collected using small vehicles and transported in aluminium milk cans to maintain freshness and quality, and is further processed and supplied to affiliated dairies.
